What is Reverse Osmosis(RO) ?

Reverse osmosis technology is a membrane separation technology that uses pressure
difference as the driving force to separate the solvent from the solution.

Its core component is the reverse osmosis membrane. This kind of membrane is selective, allowing only the solvent (usually ter) to pass through while retaining the solute. In practical applications, by applying a pressure higher than the osmotic pressure to the ter containing impurities, ter is made to move from the side with a high concentration of solute to the side with a low concentration, thus obtaining relatively pure ter.
